Campus Electoral Simulation

Fairfield University is excited to announce the Campus Electoral Simulation—a unique opportunity for students to participate in shaping a change that could benefit campus. This initiative is designed to educate our campus community on the importance of civic engagement and empower you to take part in the decision-making process.

What’s Happening?
- Vote for Change: Each residence hall will vote on initiatives that aim to improve campus life or enhance your student experience. The initiative that receives the most votes will be implemented in 2025!
- Electoral Colleges: Each residence hall is assigned electoral votes based on its population. This means your vote carries weight—every voice matters!

Why Participate?
1. Impact Your Community: This is your chance to advocate for changes that directly affect your student experience. Whether it’s improved facilities, more campus events, or some fun treats, your vote can make a difference.
2. Civic Engagement: Engaging in this simulation not only helps you understand the electoral process but also fosters a sense of responsibility and connection to your community.
3. Celebrate Your Hall: The residence hall that champions the winning initiative will be rewarded with a pizza party/food truck event! Gather your friends and celebrate the power of your vote!

How to Get Involved:
- Stay Informed: Keep an eye on campus announcements for details about the proposed initiatives and voting dates.
- Discuss Ideas: Collaborate with your res hall mates in a respectful manner to brainstorm and support initiatives that will benefit your community.
- Vote! Make sure to cast your vote when the time comes. Every vote counts!

The Three Initiatives:

Would you like to add more treadmills to the RecPlex w/the removal of ellipticals?
Would you like to remove Pete’s Café and replace with Dunkin, Starbucks or leave it at Peet’s?
Would you like to add a healthy food vending machine to the RecPlex Lobby?

Join Us in Shaping Our Future!
Mark your calendars and get ready to participate in this exciting simulation. Let’s come together as a campus community to create positive change and make our voices heard! Your input is vital—don’t miss out on this chance to influence your environment.
