About this Event
Loyola Drive, Fairfield, CT
In the Ignatian tradition, we are called to build communities rooted in dignity, friendship, and belonging. The Best Buddies program at Fairfield has long been at the forefront of this work. Each spring we host the Friendship Walk for Southern CT, a powerful opportunity to live out that call and celebrate the work our buddies do throughout the year! Volunteers will help with setup and games, working alongside participants to ensure everyone feels welcomed, valued, and supported. Help is needed between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. – visit the registration page for specific shifts and needs.
The Best Buddies Friendship Walk is the leading event in the country supporting inclusion for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). We join 50,000 participants at 70+ Walks across the globe to support the Best Buddies programs in schools, workplaces, and communities. You’ll be joining current Fairfield students in making the world more welcoming to people with IDD — one friendship, one job, and one life-changing connection at a time.
The deadline to register is Monday, April 13.
Details about dress, weather-related notices, and parking will be sent out by our partners in Campus Ministry to all who volunteer.
